  MICOP Involvement Opportunities
         

We have many great volunteer opportunities for adults as well as children.  You can help us:

  •  pack food and help set up at our monthly meetings
  •  work with children at our monthly meetings
  •  solicit new members, volunteers, and community donors
  •  help in the office with database entry
  •  tutor adults in ESL or work in our basic Spanish literacy program

We welcome monetary donations to help Ventura County's indigenous Oaxacan community achieve self-sufficiency.

MICOP is a proud collaborator with Ventura County Together. VC Together is a group of local organizations providing direct assitance to meet the basics needs: Food, Health, Shelter, and the 2-1-1 information and referral telephone helpline that connects callers to services such as food pantries, counseling and housing assistance. MICOP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, and all donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by current IRS requirements.
Please consider donating dried pinto beans, white rice, Maseca (a specific brand of masa - corn flour), vegetable oil and disposable diapers. MICOP provides as many of these items as funding allows, yet we still fall short on the great need the families have each month. We appreciate your help and involvement. We will send a thank you letter with our tax ID# for each donation.
