The members, Board of Directors and friends of Ventura County’s  Mixteco-Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) invite you to join us in celebrating our ten year anniversary on August 6, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Ventura Room of the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.  The evening will feature authentic Oaxacan Mole and traditional dances.
 
Come Spend a Night in Oaxaca!
MICOP's work unites Mixtec, Spanish, and English speakers to empower and increase the visibility of our county's more than 20,000 Mixtec residents. Today, MICOP's 25 full and part-time staff provide leadership training, case management services, advocacy and language interpretation within the indigenous community. Your support of this event will further strengthen and expand MICOP’s programs.
